Kdusha Desidra VeBa LeZion Goel,
Kdusha (snactity) is a ceremony attended by seven participants, which examines the meaning of the terms "holiness" and "heresy" and relations between them. Alongside the overall ceremony, that takes place with the partnership of 36 spectators, each participant has his own personal worshiping, that deals with the same meanings. Each person has a different kind of holiness, and a different meaning of giving it up. This Dance - Performance piece explores the relations of society and the dancers with taboo, with the aim to strengthen the values of life and hope. In this piece I chose to use unmistakable Jewish features - kippa, tassel, and the Divine Presence, as symbols from my childhood scenery, and I used the American flag as a symbol of the new secular religion. My creation is affected by the state of affairs on the ground, Israel and the Middle East, racism, nationalism and the impact they generate among the people.
